Montage on anchors
Anchored road fences are based on innovative system, which includes montage of fence posts on steel anchors. In this kind of system concrete fundamental alloy are used only to locate gates and wickets.
Anchored system includes use of flat anchors (with single, triangular sheet metal) to install intermediate fence posts and props. Strained posts (usually with thicker wall and bigger diameter) are installed on cross anchors (with 2 sheets), towards increasing their stability.
The difference between anchored and concrete system
Road fences (also known as freeway) in anchored system are used at about 80% of trunk roads, express roads and freeways buildings in Poland. Depending on installation quickness, lack of concrete cripples and higher independence of weather conditions than in concrete system, this solution is examinig perfectly at the last stages of road building, while the time grows short for General Manufacturers.
Will anchored fence be as stable as fence with paved over posts? The answer is: yes. Will it be equally stiff? Happily, no! Paving over renders, that a fence becomes unbeliveably stiff, which favour posts breaking while impacting heavy game.
Anchored fences advantages
A fence installed on anchors features with really good stability in ground, so that it is more flexible in case of impacting. A part of the energy of the impacting animal is absorbed with the net and partly by slightly sticking posts. That is why it is sometimes possible to see cars which passed the energy-absorbing barriers, but they have stopped at the anchored fence, which worked like a sack, absorbing the impact energy.
Concrete fences are still used at some of the roads in Poland, however this system is dissapearing. Also in other european countries anchored fence became the most popular solution, for it is hard to ignorate undeniable benefits, which that system gives.
